Another 3,000 customers had power restored today, leaving about 16,000 homes and businesses without power, EPB said about 5 p.m.
“Because of the massive damage needing to be repaired, we anticipate that it will be Thursday before all customers in the service area have power,” said EPB spokeswoman Lacie Newton.

More than 561,000 homes and businesses still lacked electricity in the Tennessee Valley Authority’s seven-state service area Friday night.
