WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama says the White House will not release a photo of Osama bin Laden's body.
Obama made the remarks during an interview Wednesday with CBS' "60 Minutes."
The White House had been weighing the release of a photo, in part to offer proof that bin Laden was killed during a raid on his compound early Monday. However, officials had cautioned that the photo was gruesome and could be inflammatory.
U.S. forces stormed the compound in Pakistan where bin Laden was hiding, then shot and killed the al-Qaida leader.

The photo is all over the internet. It doesn't matter if he releases or not.

Pretty sure the photos that are out there are fakes. It's easy to Photoshop nearly any photo these days. Remember on 9/11, the photo of the guy on one of the overlooks of the Twin Towers, carrying a backpack - the plane heading straight toward him? It was a fake.

That man is just a heartbeat away from the Presidency.
He is the perfect example why only certain elected officials are briefed into very highly classified military operations and projects.
Elected officials crave publicity -- the doers avoid it.
During a press conference [or whatever], then-President Carter came within a hair of compromising our entire stealth aircraft program by commenting about "invisible airplanes". Luckily our damage control team came up with "Wonder Woman's glass plane" and other farcical things which defused the gaff.
