Hamilton County Commissioners began day two of their annual budget hearings this morning, listening to the requests of a blend of outside agencies and other government entities.

The first up is the Assessor of Property, whose $3.6 million budget request is a $157,951 increase over last year. The total of all budget requests the commission will hear - $15.7 million - is $1.6 million more than the commission provided for these agencies last year.

The budget requests call for cutting $427,539 from the Tennessee Riverpark, but adds $1.6 million to the Enterprise South Nature Park budget. The budget requests also call for cutting $102,728 out of the Regional Planning Agency.
