ZEBULON, N.C. - The visiting Chattanooga Lookouts defeated the Carolina Mudcats 5-1 in Southern League baseball Saturday night.

Chattanooga starting pitcher Rubby De La Rosa struck out five in two innings before being taken out of the game. There was instant speculation that De La Rosa, the No. 3 organizational prospect according to Baseball America, was being promoted, but Los Angeles Dodgers farm director DeJon Watson said after the game that this was just a scheduled break for him.

The Lookouts (21-21) took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on leadoff doubles by Alfredo Silverio and Kyle Russell, and they extended their advantage to 2-0 in the fourth when Brian Cavazos-Galvez led off with a home run to left. Ivan Ochoa doubled and then scored on a Brad Coon single in the eighth inning, and Ochoa drove in two runs in the ninth.

Game three of the five-game series is today at 2 p.m. Nate Eovaldi (3-1, 2.80 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Kyle McCulloch (0-1, 6.00) set to pitch for the Mudcats.
