Mikalah Gordon hosting 'Idol' viewing party in Chattanooga's McKenzie Arena

Mikalah Gordon, a finalist in Season 4's "American Idol" competition, is hosting the "AI" championship viewing party tonight in McKenzie Arena.

Area resident Lauren Alaina Suddeth is a finalist with Scott McCreery in competition that will see the winner announced this evening.

Since "Idol," Gordon has been a contestant on CMT's "Gone Country 2" and played Dorothy in the production of the musical "Oz" at the Lubbock Memorial Center in Texas.

During "Idol's" two-hour finale, there will be live cutaways from Los Angeles' Nokia Theater to McKenzie Arena.

Doors open at 7 p.m. "American Idol" airs at 8 p.m. on Fox.
