EPB will build a power substation to service Amazon’s massive distribution center at Enterprise South industrial park.
Robbie Presley, an EPB attorney, said the substation will service not just Amazon but other potential customers as well.
EPB estimates the substation’s cost at $800,000.
The city’s Industrial Development Board on Tuesday granted an easement on the Amazon property related to the substation.
Amazon is expected to start operations in the fall.
