Friday, May 27, 2011

Right-handed pitcher Allen Webster was scheduled to make his Chattanooga Lookouts debut Thursday, but that will have to wait following a rainout at AT&T Field.

Webster and left-hander Wilkin De La Rosa joined the club Thursday. Webster was called up from high-A Rancho Cucamonga and De La Rosa came from Class AAA Albuquerque.

Left-hander Cole St. Clair, who leads the Lookouts with a 1.02 ERA, was put on the disabled list Thursday.

Webster was 5-2 with a 2.33 ERA in nine starts for Rancho Cucamonga, with 62 strikeouts and 21 walks in 54 innings.

The Lookouts (24-22) and Huntsville (22-23) will play a doubleheader today, beginning at 5:15 p.m. Webster will start the first game and Nathan Eovaldi (3-2, 2.97 ERA) will start game two for the Lookouts.
