Back government and the military

Back government and the military

I honor the bravery and courage of the men and women who served our country during World War II. Many served two to four years overseas before coming home. They fought and died bravely. Hundreds of thousands died and hundreds of thousands were wounded, and multitudes of our veterans have lived with their combat wounds ever since. They completed their mission with honor.

They returned to our beloved America, worked hard and were responsible in raising their children. They were the greatest generation. Later their children fought in Korea, Vietnam and now in the Middle East. They are brave and courageous military women and men.

They fought another mission for America to depose other evil governments led by heartless terrorists who want to see all Americans dead, just as the Nazi-driven ideology of another terrorist organization did in World War II. We honor those who are with us and those who have left us.

We must have the courage to support our government and the military men and women. Or will we succumb to the thousand-year night of the terrorists?

Devaluing savings doesn’t help us

If ever there was a case of liberal deceit it’s the recent piece by Paul Krugman titled “Making things in America.” Krugman states: “A weaker dollar, it turns out, was just what U.S. industry needed,” to allegedly begin bringing manufacturing jobs back to America. So if I understand Dr. Krugman, if “we the people” just sit idly by and watch his pal Ben Bernanke devalue our hard-earned savings, it’s just hunky dory as long as it brings manufacturing jobs back to America.

I have a better idea: How about doing what any industry leader will tell you and that is “if you want to bring manufacturing jobs back to America, you have to lower U.S. corporate tax rates to competitive global levels and reign in certain trade unions!” As a Ph.D. from MIT, I’m sure Krugman knows that but “that” scenario doesn’t fit the liberals’ master plan of collapsing the U.S. economy so we can begin anew in their socialistic dream world.

As the chairman of the House Budget Committee, Paul Ryan correctly stated: “There is nothing more insidious that a country can do to its citizens than debase its currency.” Pay attention, everyone, because that’s exactly what’s happening to us!

Republicans taking punches

Happy days are here again! Obama got Osama, Republicans want to privatize Medicare, and the tea party is mindlessly destroying its Republican friends!

And to that I would add a postscript to my friends on the religious right from this friend on the religious left: remember, “Jesus did not ride in on an elephant”!

Yeah Powell, he rode on a donkey and they crucified him. How ironic that donkey riders today get a break in the media. Let me say however, I am glad that he not only died, he was raised from the dead and lives forever. Guess that belief puts me on the evil religious right!
