Chattanooga Police are currently at 4409 Drummond Drive responding to a shooting and robbery attempt, police said.

According to police, a man was leaving his house to go to work around 6:50 a.m. and was approached by two black males.

According to police, one of the two suspects pulled a gun on the victim, to which the victim then pulled a gun of his own and began firing it at the suspects.

Both suspects fled the scene and a call to police was made to report the incident.

Minutes after police received the call, a local hospital contacted authorities to let them know someone had shown up with a gunshot wound, according to police.

The victim of the robbery attempt was not injured, police said.

This is very humorous until the victim ends up in court for some bogus charge/lawsuit. I will admit it is a bit satisfying to see a story in the news about a shooting that has taken place within chattanooga that 1. no one died because of and 2. apparently the victim defended themselves and protected their property. Unfortunately this is only the beginning. As the government squabbles over who's lobbyist gets the hook up in washington we will continue to see more of this type of occurence. I hope they all end up as this one did but, i doubt that will be the case. When the people with nothing to lose have had enough then the people who have will be the targets. Welcome to America 2012.

The thing that kills me is the way that the author portrays the headline as man "shoots up" Let's try Man defends himself and his belongings. The title makes this man sound like one of the worthless thugs that tried to rob him.
