We are expecting a line of heavy rain and thunderstorms late this afternoon into this evening. First and foremost, this is NOT a system like the one in April. In April, we were under a HIGH risk of severe weather. Today, it is a SLIGHT risk. With that said, there are still hazards we need to be aware of. Here they are:

Rain: We are expecting 1-2" of rain within a couple of hours. Flooding will not be a widespread threat, but some minor street flooding is possible.

Wind: Strong wind gusts in excess of 30 mph are possible. I would plan for the possibility of power outages. Downed tree limbs are also possible as are the toppling of some shallow rooted trees.
