A Cleveland, Tenn., manufacturer is growing its air pollution control production operations as it creates 30 more jobs.

Cormetech, which makes equipment for the coal power industry and refinery applications, plans to invest $2.6 million and create the manufacturing, warehouse and skilled trade jobs over a three-year period, officials said Monday.

Denise Rice, manager of the 3300 Old Tasso Road NW plant, said its continued investment into the facility is in line with its long-term manufacturing strategies.

"This investment demonstrates Cormetech's commitment to delivering the highest performance, most cost effective solutions to its customers," she said.

The company employs about 123 workers at its Cleveland plant, which was built in 1999.

Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam said that focusing on existing Tennessee businesses is a priority in the Jobs4TN strategy.

"I appreciate Cormetech's growth and investment in our state," he said in a statement.

Gary Farlow, the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce's chief executive, said Cormetech "has continued to grow and expand."

Cormetech is headquartered in Durham, N.C., and has sales offices in Europe and China.

Interested applicants should complete an application and submit a resume in person at the Cleveland facility, officials said.
