Roderick Bates looks around in Judge Clarence Shattuck's courtroom Tuesday morning. His preliminary hearing was reset for Nov. 1 where he faces charges in the shooting death of Reginald Clark.
A sessions court judge moved the preliminary hearing for one of two co-defendants in a murder case so that both men could be in court.
On Tuesday, Judge Clarence Shattuck moved the hearing date for Roderick "Pooh Pooh" Bates, 25, to Nov. 1, the same date as his co-defendant, Emmett Dewayne "D-Baby" Jones, 25.
Both men were arrested this month and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the Oct. 6 shooting death of 27-year-old Reginald Clark.
Police allege that Bates and Jones shot Clark in his 1644 Greenwood Drive home after an altercation involving Bates and his girlfriend at 807 Fire & Ice nightclub on Market Street.
Clark was shot twice in the chest and once in the back, according to a medical examiner's report.
