Arlene Durham puts up missing person fliers at Holcomb Garden Center in this file photo. Her friend Gail Nowacki Palmgren has been missing since April 30, 2011.

Matthew Palmgren, the husband of missing Signal Mountain woman Gail Palmgren, told police that Arlene Durham harassed him, according to a Signal Mountain police report.

Palmgren told police that Durham approached his son around 6:40 a.m. Monday, and she told him not to tell his father that she was talking to him and gave him a hug, the report said.

Around 7:55 a.m. Monday, Palmgren said he saw Durham standing in the street taking photos of his house and car and then running into the woods next to his house, the report said.

When Palmgren went to take is daughter to school, he said Durham followed him from his house, at 40 Ridgerock, to the school and then back to his house, the report said.

Durham did not make contact with any other Palmgren family member, the report stated, and there is no court order preventing Durham from contacting any member of the Palmgren family.

Palmgren said he didn’t want to pursue charges at this time, the report stated.

He gave a police officer a CD with video of Durham following him. The officer reviewed the video and saw what appears to be a gold van following him, according to the report, but the officer returned the CD to Palmgren because no charges are being filed.

PayingAttention - The whole situation looks suspicious, but you can't fault him for moving. He lost his job that was paying him something like $170,000 per year. I don't think those jobs are commonplace in Chattanooga, TN. No job and a giant house on Signal - he has to sell his house and move, right?

Oh gosh Marathon! You have solved the mystery. You know where Gail is and she suffered foul play?!? Why haven't you given this vital information to the Police so they can charge someone? Just make sure you obey the speed limits on the way to the Police Station.

Funny how so many people forget that you actually need facts and evidence to charge someone with a crime.

Hopefully they will get him soon. Surely he is guilty. Someone will locate her vehicle one day as that is a big thing to hide.

Obviously I don't know and neither do you marathon. If you "know" then tell the Police where she is so he can be charged. You don't "know" anything, you suspect. You may be right but there is nothing to arrest the guy for. And if he were arrested now and tried he would be acquitted. If her body then did turn up and there was proof he did it what would happen? Nothing. He would have already been tried and acquitted. That isn't rocket science. It isn't some obscure legal rule. If you really "know" enough to have him charged with a crime then tell it. You are the one who claimed to "know" so why ask me where she is and what happened to her.

marathon! Where are you? I now have your answers and guess what? The poor lady went down the side of the mountain in an accident. So you did NOT know where she was or who put her there. Which was what led me to post in reply to you in the first place. I don't care what you think of me but you most assuredly owe an apology to the man you accused of murder most foul.
