Electrical short sets vacant East Ridge house on fire this morning

The East Ridge Fire/Rescue was called to 5633 Stateline Rd. this morning with reports of a residential structure fire, an official said.

According to an official, firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy smoke coming from the home.

Firefighters established an aggressive interior attack of the fire saving the home, according to an official.

East Ridge Fire/Arson Investigators believes an electrical short caused the fire, an official said.

The home is vacant and no one was in the home at the time of the fire, an official said.
