Police are investigating a shooting in Soddy-Daisy.

A dispatcher said one person was shot on Depot Street at 11:30 a.m.

The victim's daughter told WRCB-Channel 3 her 69-year-old father was sitting on his front porch when he heard a gunshot and realized he’d been hit in the stomach.

The man was airlifted to Erlanger where his condition was unknown.

No other information was available Saturday night, a dispatcher said.

Update: Chattanooga police investigate man shot while on front porch.
