TVA president and CEO Tom Kilgore got testy a few times on the witness stand in Knoxville today, the fourth day of the trial into the Kingston ash spill.

"No matter how many times you ask the question, I'm not going to let you construe [previous statements about the landfill dike's failure[ to just its construction," Kilgore told plaintiff's attorney Jeff Friedman.

Kilgore testified for a little more than two hours in the trial prompted by the December 2008 spill.

The trial is expected to continue well into next year over responsibilities for the spill of 1.2 billion gallons of toxin-laden sludge into the Emory River.
