Chattanooga police investigate early morning stabbing

Chattanooga police are investigating a stabbing reported from 1807 E 34th Street this morning.

At around 3:20 a.m., Mario Vicente called police to report that his roommate, Mardoqueo Vicente had been stabbed, police say.

Mario stated that he heard a knock at the front door and when he answered, Mardoqueo was standing in the doorway bleeding from the abdomen, police say.

The victim was transported to a hospital where he was determined to have a non-life threatening puncture wound to the abdominal area.

Mardoqueo was physically unable to speak to police at the time of the incident so there's no suspect information available, police say. Mario also was unable to provide any suspect information or details on what led up to Mardoqueo's injury.
