UTC Mocs drop in football polls

BOONE, N.C. - The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team dropped two spots to No. 15 in this week's Sports Network Top 25 poll and three spots to No. 17 in the Football Championship Subdivision coaches' poll, released today.

UTC (2-2, 0-1 Southern Conference) fell after losing 14-12 at No. 3 Appalachian State last Saturday. The Mountaineers remained in the third spot in both polls.

Georgia Southern retained its position at No. 1 and Wofford, which hosts Appalachian State this week, moved up one to No. 8 in the Sports Network poll and is No. 6 in the coaches'.

The Mocs host The Citadel (1-2, 0-2) on Saturday.
