Rescue under way for injured teen in Pocket Wilderness

A rescue is under way about three miles into the woods of Pocket Wilderness in Soddy-Daisy, EMS spokeswoman Amy Maxwell said.

A 16-year-old girl injured her leg on a rope swing in the blue hole swimming area, Maxwell said. Emergency crews made contact with the teen at about 6:40 p.m., Maxwell said. No life-threatening injuries have been reported.

Rough terrain in the area is making for a longer rescue mission, Maxwell said.
