Chattanooga's signature entrepreneurship event attracted more than 100 students, designers and developers to build mobile sites and web apps over the weekend.

Entrepreneurs were challenged to design, develop and pitch money-making ideas in a period of just 48 hours.

By the end, the group had designed nine mobile applications, primarily focused on Chattanooga's visitor market, according to The Company Lab, which hosted the event.

"We were really impressed with the quality of the ideas and the quick progress the teams made throughout the weekend," said Sheldon Grizzle, air traffic controller of The Company Lab. "Almost all of them have some working prototypes of their products, which is amazing in such a short amount of time."

The Chattanooga Convention and Visitors Bureau offered three $500 cash prizes to the top teams, who also received packages of business services from local firms like Chambliss, Bahner, & Stophel, Miller & Martin, Henderson, Hutcherson, & McCullough, Hutchinson & Walls, Four Bridges Capital, and Claris Network.
