Chattanooga police are investigating a shooting at 1936 Hardy St. at the Harriet Tubman complex just after 11 a.m. today.

Jeffrey Braswell, 33, was shot in the leg and taken to Erlanger with non-life threatening injuries, Officer Nathan Hartwig said.

The shooter was identified as 31-year-old Reginald D. Wadley and the shooting was the result of an ongoing dispute, police said.

Wadley reportedly stepped outside the front door and shot Braswell, who was standing in the yard, Hartwig said.

Wadley is currently detained and it is unclear if there will be charges filed at this time.

Last night's shooting on North Willow St. and today's on Hardy St. raises the total number of shootings in Chattanooga this year to 27.
