Autism symposium

Lee University will host its 10th annual Southeastern Autism Symposium, "Diamonds are Forever ... So is Autism: From Rough Cut to Precious Gem," 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Thursday, June 21, and 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Friday, June 22, in the Helen DeVos College of Education. Keynote speaker is Dr. Vincent Carbone, noted for his autism research and treatment. A variety of breakout sessions will be offered. Autism event

The movie "Mirror Mirror," a sensory-friendly film, will be presented at 10 a.m., Saturday, at UEC Theaters 14, 137 Pleasant Grove Road, S.W., Cleveland, Tenn. Cost is $5 per person over age 2. Lights in the theater will be raised and the sound lowered for this showing. Concessions available or bring own snack food. For information, call 260-1115.

Walk benefits Partnership

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes challenges men to walk one mile in high heels, Saturday, at Coolidge Park. This event, presented by Parkridge Health System, will benefit Partnership's Sexual Assault Center. Healing workshop

Cystic fibrosis walk/fun run

The 8th annual Great Strides Walk and Fun Run to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will be from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, April 22, at Greenway Farms in Hixson. Registration begins at 1 p.m.; walk/fun run at 2 p.m. Earn prizes. Silent auction, kids corner, music, food after walk. Massage therapy for cancer patients

To reduce stress and promote healing, free massage therapy for cancer patients undergoing treatment is available every Wednesday and Thursday at the Center for Cancer Support at Memorial Hospital and every Tuesday at the Center for Cancer Support at Memorial Hospital Hixson. NAMI speaker

The Chattanooga Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness will hold its free Speaker's Forum, 6:30-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, at Joe Johnson Center, 420 Bell Ave., North Shore district.
