The best jobs, according to CareerCast, a career website owned by Adicio Inc., that ranked 200 jobs from best to worst based on five criteria: physical demands, work environment, income, stress and hiring outlook.

1 Software Engineer: Researches, designs, develops and maintains software systems along with hardware development for medical, scientific and industrial purposes. Average income: $88,142.

2 Actuary: Interprets statistics to determine probabilities of accidents, sickness, death and loss of property from theft and natural disasters. Average income: $88,202

3 Human resources manager: Plans, directs and/or coordinates all human resource activities and staff of an organization. Average income: $99,102.

4 Dental hygienist: Assists dentists in diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of a group or private dental practice. Average income: $68,109

5 Financial planner: Related to careers in portfolio management, the financial planner offers a broad range of services aimed at assisting individuals in managing and planning their financial future. Average income: $104,600.
