A judge sent a 2010 slaying case to the grand jury this morning.

Bill Bob Partin, 39, and Patrick Carmody, 43, have been charged with first-degree murder and especially aggravated robbery in the case in connection with the Sept. 9, 2010, shooting death of 21-year-old Chance LeCroy. Ronald Pittman, 42, has been charged with facilitation of felony murder and especially aggravated robbery.

For nearly two years, LeCroy's family had no clues about how their son was killed until Chattanooga Police arrested Pittman and Partin on June 15. Carmody was arrested shortly after.

In this morning's preliminary hearing, LeCroy's roommate Tucker King testified about waking up to a masked gunman pointing a gun at his head.

Pittman also testified. He said that the three men meant to rob LeCroy's home of money and drugs but never intended to kill anyone.

When one attorney asked Pittman if he remembered the details of the night two years ago, he nodded.

"It's like a nightmare," he said.
