DeKalb officers shoot man with knife

DECATUR, Ga. — Authorities are investigating after a DeKalb County police officers shot a man with a knife.

Police say the shooting happened around 8:30 a.m. Sunday in Decatur.

Police say two officers, including on in training, were flagged down by a woman who told them about an armed man. Police say the officers approached the man and told him to drop his knife. Police say both officers opened fire as the man approached them.

The man was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died. Police have not released his identity.
