TVA CEO Tom Kilgore to retire

TVA CEO Tom Kilgore announced today that he will retire in four to six months.

Kilgore, who will be 65 soon, said he had already had told the TVA board, but he wanted to announce his retirement publicly at the end of the today's board meeting.

TVA Board Chairman William B. Sansom thanked Kilgore for his leadership.

"Tom [Kilgore] has done a great job getting some consistency in TVA," he said.
