2 teenagers shot on Fourth Avenue
Two 16-year-old boys were shot and wounded early Saturday morning in the 2400 block of Fourth Avenue, Chattanooga police said in a news release.
The release stated that the two were standing on the sidewalk when someone fired at them and drove away in a black SUV.
Both youths were taken to a hospital but neither's wounds were life-threatening, police said.

Man burned in house fire
A man trying to put out a fire in his grandmother's house Friday night was taken to a hospital for burns, according to a news release.
The homeowner, Imogene Jones, called 911 to report the fire at 10800 Jenkins Circle in the Sequoyah area, the release stated. The Sequoyah Volunteer Fire Department arrived first, and the Mowbray VFD backed it up.
The release said Jones' grandson, Jonas Jones, 26, and a friend, Charlie Daniels, were trying to extinguish the fire in a couch. Jonas Jones had second-degree burns. Daniels was burned slightly but not taken to the hospital.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office will investigate the cause of the blaze.
Police warn of scammers
The Dalton, Ga., Police Department is warning of scammers operating as a gutter-cleaning service.
According to the police news release, two men driving a white Ford F-250 and representing themselves as "Taylor Roofing" have been contacting elderly women offering gutter cleaning services. Once the work is done, the men demand about three times the agreed-upon price, the release stated.
One man was arrested Thursday. James William Taylor is in the Whitfield County Jail on charges of theft by deception, and is facing similar charges in Hamilton County, the release states.
Another man is still at large and soliciting business, the release states.
Anyone who has received such a solicitation or who has had home repairs by "Taylor Roofing" is asked to call Detective James Goines with the Dalton Police Department at 706-278-9085, ext. 115.
