Drug charges have been dismissed against the woman who accused a Murray County judge of soliciting her for sex.

Conasauga District Attorney Bert Poston said that, after Georgia Bureau of Investigation agents probed the arrest of Angela Garmley, he decided to drop the charges.

Garmley's accusations against Chief Magistrate Bryant Cochran sparked a state investigation which led to his resignation last week.

Cochran is also being accused of pre-signing warrants, which the GBI is also investigating.

Weeks after Garmley came forward with her accusations against Cochran, she was pulled over in a traffic stop. The Murray County sheriff's deputy said a drug dog he had with him in his patrol car found a magnetic box under Garmley's car that had methamphetamine inside. She was arrested and charged with possession of meth.
