Construction continues at Prairie Pass subdivision in East Brainerd.
Name: Prairie Pass
Location: Located in the city of Apison, the neighborhood is just four miles east of Ooltewah-Ringgold road. Students may attend Apison Elementary and East Hamilton Middle and High schools.
Status: In the current phase, developers plan to erect 106 homes. Fifteen homes are now under construction, and six are nearly complete. Six homes are under contract, and builders also are planning to erect a custom home.
Price: There are two types of homes for sale. Lakeside bungalows range from 1,400 to 1,800 square feet and cost from $190,000 to $250,000. Single-family homes range from 1,800 square feet to 2,500 square feet and cost from $240,000 to $300,000.
Features: Stone, brick and Hardie plank cement fiber exteriors are topped with gabled roofs and rafter tails. Front and rear porches add a Southern feel to this traditional craftsman suburban community. Sodded and irrigated front and back yards and craftsman or carriage-style garages finish off the look.
Amenities: Neighborhood extras include a clubhouse, swimming pool, community pergola, sidewalks, street lamps, small lakes and underground utilities. An entrance with two craftsman gablehouses is under construction.
Custom homes: All home plans must be reviewed and approved by architectural review committee to ensure the architectural standards and property values are preserved. Custom home opportunities are available with every member of the Prairie Pass builder team and with home design approval from the architectural review committee.
