CHATSWORTH, GA -- A news release from the Murray County Sheriff's Office this afternoon stated that Deputy Mike Henderson has been terminated "as of today, 8/31/12."

The release further states that both Henderson and Deputy John Greeson (who was terminated Wednesday) gave false statements to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation during a criminal investigation.

The GBI investigation follows the arrest of Angela Garmley on a drug charge. Garmley, who accuses now former Chief Magistrate Judge Bryant Cochran of asking for sex while working on her case, was arrested August 14.
