A 36-year-old man was shot in the chest in the 2200 block of Anderson Avenue this afternoon, Chattanooga police spokesman Nathan Hartwig said.
The man is in critical condition at a local hospital. The incident happened around 3:20 p.m., Hartwig said. The man was sitting inside a parked car when he was shot.
The shooting may have been drug-related and police believe the victim was targeted, Hartwig said.
The victim’s name has not been released.
