Cure Kids Cancer radiothon

WDEF-FM Sunny 92.3 continues to air live from Children's Hospital, 5 a.m.-9 a.m. today and Friday, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, at Hamilton Place mall center court. Donations accepted during the radiothon by calling 1-877-335-5437 or going to www.erlangerfoundation.org. All funds raised during the radiothon will be used to support cancer research, care and education at the Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital at Erlanger.


Free yoga class for toy donation

ClearSpring Yoga is hosting a toy drive for Northside Neighborhood House. Each person who brings a new unwrapped toy valued at more than $5 on Sunday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at ClearSpring Yoga, 17 N. Market St., can participate in a Fun Family Yoga class (children must be older than 5). You can drop off toy before Sunday or make a donation to buy a toy.


Memorial offerings

• Diabetes basics and diet class. Set from 3:30-8 p.m. today at Diabetes and Nutrition Center at Memorial Hospital, the program provides an overview of diabetes and treatment/prevention of complications, diabetes meal planning and carbohydrate counting. The center can help you obtain a physician's referral and provide cost information. To register, call 495-7970.

• Mammograms. Memorial Health Care System's Mobile Health Coach will provide mammograms for women 40 years old and over who haven't have a mammogram in the last 12 months, with or without insurance. Locations: Meigs County Piggly Wiggly, 17619 State Highway 58 North, Decatur, Tenn., 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, and SunTrust Bank, 1900 Gunbarrel Road, from 2-6 p.m. Saturday.

Breast-feeding

A breast-feeding class is set for 9-11:30 a.m. Saturday at Erlanger East (Gunbarrel Road) and from 6:30-9 p.m. Tuesday at Erlanger Baroness (downtown). Learn breast-feeding basics, what to expect during the first weeks and tips for success. Concerns about returning to work/school also will be discussed. The class is coordinated by a board-certified lactation consultant. Registration fee is $30. Call Erlanger's HealthLink at 778-5465 to register.
