Thirteen Chattanooga-area players were chosen to the 2012 Tennessee Sports Writers Association all-state volleyball teams.

Four local schools had two selections each: Baylor's Rachel Travis and Madeline Rose in Division II; Ooltewah's Leondra Barrett and Kelsey Chernak in Class AAA; and East Hamilton's Kylie Scruggs and Emma Lenoir and Red Bank's Savannah Nelson and Ansley Helton in AA.

Sale Creek's Erin Hill, Boyd-Buchanan's Kristen Reynolds and Silverdale Baptist Academy's Kerri Whittaker were selected in Class A.

The other area all-state selections were Sadie Lett from GPS in Division II and Bradley Central's Brooke Copeland in AAA.
