Chattanooga Times Free Press Cartoon Caption Contest

Fill in the blank on this Clay Bennett cartoon for fame and glory ... well, at least glory.

Times Free Press editorial page cartoonist Clay Bennett has provided the setup; now it’s your job to supply the punchline.

Just fill in the caption on the unfinished cartoon here. Be political. Be funny. Be sarcastic. Be ironic. Or be all of the above.

Then clip out and mail us your entry. A panel of Times Free Press newsroom judges will read all the entries and select a winner and some runners-up to be featured in the Life section on Feb. 12.

The winner will receive a print of the cartoon bearing his or her caption and a signed greeting from Bennett. A photo of the winner also will appear in the newspaper, along with the winning caption.


Entries must be received by Monday, Feb. 6, and may be emailed to or mailed (or hand-delivered) to:
