UTC reserve guard Dontay Hampton received emergency medical attention in the locker room following UTC's 79-70 loss Wednesday night at Appalachian State.
Coach John Shulman said Hampton struggled to breathe and had some chest pain after playing 29 minutes -- including the final 16 -- at an altitude of 3,333 feet while suffering from congestion.

"We made sure that we took care of him," Shulman said. "He was fine coming back. We weren't going to let him practice until our doctors here clear him."
