Officers recover two meth labs in Jackson County raid

photo Alan Ray Whitley, age 55 of Scottsboro, Alabama, was charged with unlawful manufacture of controlled substances (Meth), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Whitley was transported to the Jackson County Jail where he remains pending his bond being set.

A Scottsboro, Ala., man has been charged with methamphetamine manufacture after officers seized two "one pot" or "shake and bake" meth labs and meth ingredients, according to a news release

Jackson County Sheriff Chuck Phillips said that his officers found a small amount of marijuana and the paraphernalia at a residence on Joy Drive in Scottsboro and arrested Alan Whitley in connection with the drugs.

Whitley was transported to the Jackson County Jail.
