The Hunter Museum is offering eight amazing camps this summer for children ages 4-12. Each summer, talented art instructors design new activities and experiences in the arts for your camper. Camps incorporate art making, physical activity and field trips to local parks and attractions. Each week of camp closes with an art exhibition where campers share their hard work and creativity with family and friends. All supplies and snacks (one snack for half-day sessions and two for a full-day session) are included in the camp cost. Camp T-shirts are also included. New this summer: Before care from 8-9 a.m. and after care from 4-5 p.m. will be offered. Pre-registration is required.

Session 1: Mini Masters I

Dates: June 4-8, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Ages: 7- 9 years old

Description: Discover artistic masters and be inspired to create your own masterpieces in lots of fun materials. Build it, sketch it and cover it in paint this summer!

Session 2: Art Tots I

Dates: June 11-15, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Ages: 4-6 years old

Description: Join all the crafty fun at the Hunter Museum this summer. Art Tots will discover the Museum and the arts through imaginative games, activities and art making.

Session 3: Junior Artistes

Dates: June 18- 22, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Ages: 10-12 years old

Description: Create in clay, paint and more at the Hunter Museum this summer. Experience the Museum from the inside out as you explore new art materials, meet artists and make new crafty friends!

Session 4: The Art of Acting

Dates: June 25 – June 29, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Ages: 7- 9 years old

Description: Join the Hunter and experienced theater instructors for a week of art and theatre. Walk in the paint covered footsteps of artists and become a living interpretation of their work. The week will draw to a close with performances by campers in the galleries worthy of a standing ovation!

Session 5: Mini Masters II

Dates: July 9-13, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Ages: 7- 9 years old

Description: There is just too much to explore and create in art to fit into one week! Join us for a second session of Mini Masters. Camp sessions 1 and 5 are completely unique – join us for either or both weeks.

Session 6: Art Tots II

Dates: July 16-20, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. *

Ages: 4- 6 years old

Description: Come along and create with us in this second session of Art Tots. Each art camp session is completely unique with new materials and projects each week.

Session 7: Art Tots III

Dates: July 16-20, 1 p.m. - 4p.m. *

Ages: 4- 6 years old

Description: Art Tots can come, play and create at the Hunter for a full day! New discoveries await your young artists in this afternoon session.

Session 8: Junior Artistes II

Dates: July 23- 27, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Ages: 10-12 years old

Description: Join the Hunter for a second week of Junior Artistes art camp with all new projects and experiences. Camp sessions 3 and 8 are completely unique – join us for one or both weeks.

New this summer: Before care from 8-9 am. and after care from 4-5 p.m.
