Two Hays State Prison correction officers were taken to the hospital Tuesday after being assaulted by an inmate, Georgia Department of Corrections spokeswoman Gwendolyn Hogan said.
The injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, Hogan said.
No details of the 5:25 p.m. assault have been released.
