The Hamilton County Commission today passed new rules and regulations for county grounds.

County attorney Rheubin Taylor said the policy formalizes rules the county has been following for decades.

The rules would prohibit many of the activities Occupy Chattanooga is engaged in on the County Courthouse lawn, including holding campfires and setting up tables and chairs.

The new policy was added as a late agenda item.
