Alabama's biggest bank was quick to seize upon the BCS football championship earned by the University of Alabama by unveiling a Crimson Tide National Championship checkcard and crimson-and-white checks on Tuesday.
Within hours of Alabama's 21-0 defeat of LSU for the national championship Monday night, Regions Bank announced it is offering Alabama football checks and check cards similar to what the bank offered in 2009 when Alabama last won the national football championship.
"We understand the special affinity that college football fans have for their teams, and the Crimson Tide National Championship Fan Pack will allow our customers to celebrate the Crimson Tide's 2011 National Championship win with every purchase," said Tom Brooks, head of cards and payment for Regions.
Regions, which is a long-time sponsor of the University of Alabama and the Southeastern Conference, said customers may order the check cards or checks at any Regions branch or by calling 1-800-Regions.
