Rants

DEMOCRATS WOULDN'T complain about the Republicans gerrymandering our democracy into a one-party system if they had an agenda that's more in line with Tennesseans.

TRY NOT TO break your arm while patting yourself on the back, Congressman Fleischmann!

ACCORDING TO THE Times, I am a liberal: I read Dalton Roberts' column and agree with him most of the time.

RON BHALLA as Third District congressional candidate renewing interest in the Manhattan Declaration is not "Bible-Thumping" as some have said. Reread it, people.

CONSERVATIVE CHRISTIAN David Fowler wants to protect free speech for straight bullies? This isn't needed until a kid kills himself because he's straight.

DAVID COOK has it exactly right about the photo ID requirement to vote! It's just to keep people from voting.

IF A PERSON can get transportation to the polls to vote, surely that same person can get transportation to get an ID.

REALLY, leaders/examples/role models: I am not sure the way to discourage gangs and bullying is to gang up and bully Club Fathom.

MISSING SIGNAL MOUNTAIN white woman was just an accident. How much time, money and press coverage was spent compared with other missing persons?

FOR US SENIOR folks, going to the mail box is like taking a mini trip to somewhere different. Please don't take away Saturday mail!

WELCOME TO Hiroshima, Tennessee. Oops, its only the U.S Pipe facility (with graffiti) that greets newcomers to Chattanooga on I-24 East. Tear it down!

If only a third of Tennessee counties had polling places, then you could bet there would be severe consequences. It would be unquestionably illegal.

If the laws require one to be a citizen of the USA to vote in our elections, then how can it be illegal to be required to prove your citizenship with a photo ID? We have to show one to do just about everything else.

Having to present a photo ID in order to vote doesn't prevent fraud. That's myth numero uno. This is an effort on the part of the GOP to prevent legitimate voters from voting. Anyone can obtain a fake photo ID. And if they're hell bent obtaining such a document to cast a fraudently vote they will.

Even a fellow Republican has admitted there's been no cases of fraudently voting made by citizens casting their vote. If any fraud has taken place, it has come by the way after the vote has been cast and at the hands of those who count the votes.

Really? Is that why all these Republicans are getting caught with voter fraud?!?

Jack, I would like to see that book since you cloaked it in a "fact", or just any little tinckling of proof that you can use to make a statement like that. Back it up or shut up!
