DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga secured win No. 10 of the wrestling season Sunday, getting bonus points from all nine of its winners in a 47-3 Southern Conference victory over Davidson.

"It's a good sign," UTC coach Heath Eslinger said. "I feel like we wrestled well this weekend and got some momentum going into the next two matches, which are big because they're conference matches. We just need to keep doing what we're doing."

The Mocs' seventh straight win made them 3-0 in the SoCon.

They did it without 197-pound Niko Brown, who was held out after suffering a knee injury in the team's win Friday at Campbell University.

"He can't walk without crutches right now," Eslinger said. "He'll have an MRI on Monday and we should know something after that in 24 to 48 hours. I doubt that he'll wrestle next week."

The Mocs wrestle at The Citadel this Sunday and host Appalachian State on Feb. 5 at Maclellan Gym. Appalachian edged The Citadel 21-19 Friday.

Thanks to forfeit victories for UTC's Levi Clemons (184) and Kevin Malone (285), Sunday's meet took less than an hour. Shawn Greevy (141), Trey Stavrum (174) and Robert Prigmore (184) got pins, Kelly Felix (149) a technical fall and Nick Soto (133), Dan Waddell (157) and Brandon Wright (165) major decisions.

Eslinger inserted Stavrum at 174 and bumped Clemons and Prigmore up a weight class to ease the loss of Brown.

"Trey looked awesome. He really did a good job. He stepped in and took it to the kid," Eslinger said. "That's why we bring those guys -- because we believe they can go in and get the job done."

Stavrum has wrestled most of the season at 165 and weighed in there Sunday, giving Eslinger the option of bumping him or Wright to 174.

It wasn't that big a change for Prigmore, although he has wrestled at 184 pounds all season. Last year he wrestled at 184, 197 and 285.
