Wright to succeed father as Wesley Chapel pastor

The Rev. Marcus Xerxes Wright, a Chattanooga native, will be installed as pastor of Wesley Chapel Christian Community Church, 1813 Wilson St., on Sunday at 5 p.m.

He will succeed his father, the Rev. H.H. Wright, as pastor.

The younger Wright attended Wesley Chapel during his youth and has been serving on the ministerial team at Greater Bethel Community Church for the past seven years.

He is married and is the father of two daughters and two sons.

The Rev. Michael Freeman of Greater Bethel Community Church of Woodstock, Ga., will be the speaker for the installation service. A reception will follow.
