Chattanooga Football Club, Georgia Revolution tie 1-1 and other sports news

CONYERS, Ga. -- The Chattanooga Football Club and the Georgia Revolution tied 1-1 in their matchup of National Premier Soccer League Southeast Conference division leaders Saturday night. Chattanooga FC (5-1-3) scored in the 10th minute but went a man down 20 minutes later when Jarod Muggleston was red-carded, and the Revolution (6-1-1) equalized in the first minute after halftime. The Revolution lead the Eastern Division; CFC is three points ahead of the second-place Knoxville Force (5-4) in the four-team Western grouping with one game remaining for each. CFC visits Jacksonville United this Saturday.

• The Chattanooga Women's City Amateur golf tournament this year will be a 75th anniversary event at Chattanooga Golf and Country Club. The team competition is set for July 24, and the individual match-play tournament runs July 30-Aug. 2. • The CDGA Junior Tour will be at Moccasin Bend on Monday for a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. All participants must check in by 8.

• Kody Hampton of Madisonville and Kyndall Shamblin of Cleveland were among the spring champions in the Knoxville-based Champions Junior Golf Tour. In the season-ending tournament at Graysburg Hills Golf Club, Hampton pulled out the boys' 15-18 title and Shamblin wrapped up an undefeated girls' 8-under season.
