The Hamilton County local grand jury has indicted a 20-year-old Apison man on murder charges in connection with a November shooting death.

Nathan Bernard Lalone, 20, faces charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder in the shooting death of Christian Sosa, 19.

Witness testimony in a December 13 hearing claimed Lalone fired 10 to 15 .40-caliber rounds into the car where Sosa and his girlfriend, Meghan Bennett were sitting.

Sosa died after being struck, Bennett did not have life-threatening injuries.

A reluctant 16-year-old witness testified in the December hearing that Lalone said he'd shot Sosa in the head shortly after the incident, which took place on Nov. 16, 2011 in Apison.
