The Southern Conference released the televising schedule for the 2012 football season Wednesday, and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Oct. 13 game at Furman will be shown on ESPN3.com.
That is the Mocs' only scheduled SoCon game on ESPN3, but the league has left open the Nov. 10 and 17 dates so it can have the flexibility to present the best late-season matchups.
UTC also will be on ESPN3 in its season opener at South Florida.
The SoCon's eight-game schedule starts on Sept. 8 with a premier nonconference Football Championship Subdivision meeting between national powers Appalachian State and Montana in Boone, N.C. Another marquee matchup will be App State at Georgia Southern on Nov. 3. Those two schools are the only ones with two regular-season games on the current schedule
All eight SoCon games will be shown exclusively on ESPN3.
The Mocs' game at Furman, as well as its Nov. 10 visit to Wofford, will kick off at 1:30 p.m. Those were the only two UTC games awaiting start times.
