The "CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley" will devote much of its program tonight to the shootings in Colorado and will therefore not run the planned segment on local radio and television personality Luther Masingill, according to Doris Ellis, program and community service director at WDEF-TV 12.

The segment was done July 9 and 10 by CBS news correspondent Steve Hartman and focuses on Masingill's 72 years on work at WDEF and his induction into the National Radio Hall of Fame.

Ellis said officials at CBS did not know when the segment would run, but that they would give the local affiliate advance notice.
