The Chattanooga Football Club will face off against the Bay Area Ambassadors on Friday night in San Diego. Chattanooga FC's game is the second of the two National Premier Soccer League Championships semifinals and will start at 10 p.m., Eastern, following the other semifinal between the Madison (Wis.) 56ers and FC Sonic of Lehigh Valley, Penn. CFC (7-3-1) won the Southeast Conference and the Ambassadors (9-3-1) won the West. Friday's winners will meet for the NPSL championship Sunday, while the semifinal losers will play for third place on Saturday. All four games can be watched online at sdspsoccermarketing.com.

LACROSSE

• Megan Mastey, who graduated this spring from Girls Preparatory School, is headed to Sewanee to play lacrosse. Mastey played center and was a co-captain and the most valuable player for the Bruisers as a senior, and she was all-region and an Academic All-American. She was a class representative on the GPS Honor Council for three years. Megan's sister Sarah, also a GPS alumna, is a standout for Centre College in Sewanee's league; they will meet on the field in early March.

GOLF

• Spencer Honey of Chattanooga, Caleb Roberson of Signal Mountain, Scott Melton of Ringgold, Will Snipes of Rocky Face, Chase Jones of Chatsworth and Jordan Bethune of Fort Bethune are among the 144 golfers entered in a 36-hole U.S. Amateur sectional qualifier today and Wednesday at Atlanta's Piedmont Driving Club. They will be playing for six spots in the national tournament that runs Aug. 13-19 at Cherry Hills Country Club in Colorado.
