Chattanooga police have charged Tommy Poindexter, 46, in connection with a robbery at the Bank of America at 3620 Tennessee Ave. Tuesday, according to a news release.
Chattanooga Police Department spokesman Nathan Hardwig said Poindexter entered the bank wearing what appeared to be a nylon stocking over his head and carrying a firearm. Upon receiving money, he fled into a wooded area near the bank.
As officers searched the area, one officer saw Poindexter leave the woods, and he was taken into custody.
