Red Bank Baptist calls Greer

The Rev. Sam Greer, a native of Crystal Springs, Miss., has been called as senior pastor of Red Bank Baptist Church, 4000 Dayton Blvd.

He began his ministry there June 3.

Greer, formerly pastor of Hebron Baptist Church in Bush, La., also has served as pastor of Bonner Creek Baptist in Franklinton, La.

He earned Master of Theology and Master of Divinity degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a doctorate in expository preaching from the seminary. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss.

Greer and his wife, Tonya, are the parents of two daughters, Braydee and Belle.
